Education is inaccessible for millions of children worldwide who are living in war-zones or affected by conflict. Can’t Wait to Learn is a self-paced serious gaming application accessed on tablets. It takes children in informal education settings through the Government-approved curriculum. This enables children to attain primary-level competencies in math and reading. The program's unique co-creation with targeted children results in the development of locally contextualized game content, design, and storyline. Research has shown that this allows for effective learning and boosts motivation.
War Child Holland is a non-governmental organization active in fourteen countries where children live with the effects of armed conflict. It has specialized in the areas of child protection, education, and psychosocial support.
