Due to lack of public health infrastructure and healthcare professionals, the Tibet Autonomous Region registers one of the highest death and abandonment rates for premature infants. This project will: 1) establish a neonatal intensive care unit 2) establish a newborn emergency transport system 3) provide quality trainings to medical professionals The partner Beijing United Charity Foundation Started in 2010, Beijing United Charity Foundation has developed a solid relationship with the local community, schools and government which allows them to successfully implement this project. |
