Psychological support for children and youth in Uganda

Project overview:

Project overview:
Children and young people are particularly vulnerable. Fleeing hits them hard. As well as losing their homes, children are robbed of their dreams and undergo suffering as a result of traumatic experiences.
Since 2016, Uganda has received over 1.6 million refugees from neighboring countries. A large proportion of the children
who have had to leave their homes often suffer violence in the process. StrongMinds ensures that they can process their trauma. Thanks to this support, the children can focus on their schooling again.
Our partner: StrongMinds
Founded in 2013 as a social enterprise, StrongMinds trains lay people such as teachers in group therapy. This allows them to rapidly reach and help large numbers of children and adolescents, especially girls and young women.
