Projektübersicht:
Children and youth most vulnerable to sex trafficking are those with the greatest unmet needs,1 whether because of poverty, homelessness, foster care, or because they’re discrim-inated against for being of color, LGBTQ+, or an immigrant. Sex traffickers target these groups first by meeting their needs. Therefore, to stop child sex trafficking, communities must ensure that children and their families have access to supportive services and a social safety net so their needs can be met in safe ways and not through a trafficker. The partner Over the last 20 years, Polaris has led the growing anti-traf-ficking movement in the United States, particularly by operat-ing the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline (Trafficking Hotline) that assists thousands of victims and survivors annu-ally and accounts for the largest data set on trafficking in North America. With this experience, Polaris works to change policies, perceptions, and power dynamics to prevent traffick-ing before it happens. |
